About Us
Crafted for the Rockies, Made with Purpose
Alpaca wool apparel & artisan crafts for a life well-lived.
Our Story
Kaleidoscope was born in 2018, when Susan Mathews—a lifelong skier and art collector—noticed a gap in the market: high-altitude towns like ours craved functional luxury, but mass-produced gear lacked soul. We started with alpaca wool sweaters, then added hand-tooled leather bags, ceramic mugs, and candles made by Colorado artisans. Today, we bridge continents, offering pieces that blend Andean tradition with Rocky Mountain grit.

"No Two Alike"
Every item in our store is touched by human hands—whether it’s a pair of alpaca gloves, a hand-painted vase, or a pair of silver earrings. Minor imperfections are celebrated; they’re proof of artistry, not assembly lines.
